We catch up with myvitamins.com to understand what they offer and their plans for discount codes and promotions

Why has the website myvitamins.com been developed?

We believe there's a gap in the market for a new, fresh and contemporary approach to vitamins and mineral supplements. Creating myvitamins.com also gives us the ideal opportunity to offer products which wouldn't have fit in with the Myprotein.com demographic.

The vitamins and minerals marketplace is widespread with popular retailers in the UK including Holland & Barrett and The Nutri Centre, distributors such as Herbalife and sports supplements websites such as Discount Supplements and Monster Supplements. What makes myvitamins stand out from the crowd? Why should we use myvitamins?

What we've created with myvitamins is an affordable, clean, no-nonsense brand offering premium quality ingredients, direct to the door with free delivery on every order. In an industry awash with science and words like 'lymphocytes' and 'antioxidants' myvitamins.com aims to cut through the jargon and bring you a simpler approach to health.

What is the difference between the Complete range, Essentials range and Total range?

The Complete range contains bespoke blends to specific ailments and/or goals such as Complete Bones. The Essentials range comprises of single vitamins or minerals such as Essential Vitamin C and the Total range is individual, high potency, holistic based ingredients such as Total Green Tea Extract.

Will you be looking to expand the ranges/product lines over time?

There's huge scope to launch further products into the range. Myprotein have a range of over 350 products and their NPD team have lots of exciting plans for myvitamins too!

Which supplements are you anticipating to be your best sellers for men, women and kids?

We expect the Alpha Men and True Woman ranges to become best sellers, amongst the well known supplements which have been used for years such as our Omega and Joint Plus range. We also expect to see trend driven products sell well, those often shown in the public eye more than other supplements such as Total Acai Berry and Essential Vitamin D3.

Will there be any regular promotions and deals? Are these likely to be cross site or only on select supplements?

We've launched the site with an ongoing 3 for 2 promotion across the whole of the range. This is an excellent opportunity for our new customers to sample a number of products in the range whilst making great savings. We're also going to be running a 'Vitamin of the Week' whereby we'll put a chunky discount on one of the more popular products for the whole week.

Is there a loyalty points scheme?

Yes, similar to Myprotein, myvitamins also has a loyalty scheme whereby the customers receive points for each pound they spend, which are collected and then later used to buy their supplements with discounts or even free of charge!

Do you offer international delivery or is it purely UK delivery? What delivery options will be available?

At the moment we're only delivering into the UK. We offer free economy delivery with Royal Mail on every order, or alternatively the customer can choose to upgrade to a next day delivery service with DPD for £3.95.

Lastly, Myprotein already sell plenty of vitamins, minerals and wellbeing supplements. Will Myprotein continue to stock these and how do the vitamins and minerals sold on myvitamins compare and contrast with those sold on Myprotein.com?

We will continue to sell vitamins and minerals on Myprotein as lots of these supplements are actually top sellers. The beauty of launching a site like myvitamins is that because there's a different target market, we now have the opportunity to launch products which just wouldn't suit the Myprotein customer base. There are of course some cross over products such as Omega 3 and Vitamins D3 but that's simply because they're excellent supplements which work for both demographics.
