Bodybuilding Warehouse High Protein Flapjacks review

High protein, low sugar and low fat protein flapjacks online at a cheap price

I have tried quite a few protein flapjacks so when Bodybuilding Warehouse started selling their high protein flapjacks, I got on the website and ordered some immediately. A big incentive was the deal they were offering of 2 boxes (24 bars per box) for £34.99 (so just 73p per bar). Usually it is £18.99 for a box of 24 bars (still cheap compared to other protein flapjacks in the UK but costing £37.98 for two boxes). So I snapped up this offer and eagerly awaited the protein flapjacks to arrive.

Bodybuilding Warehouse Protein Flapjacks are currently available in two flavours; Honey Berry and Chocolate Pecan. The offer allowed me to choose two boxes of the same flavour or one of each so I picked one of each so I could try the taste of both for this review.

Each flapjack is 75g in size (so a good size) and 272-282 calories (differs by flavour).

How did the BBW protein flapjacks taste and were they easy to eat?

The first thing to say is that I really enjoyed the taste of both flavours. At first I had a slight preference for the Chocolate Pecan because I do enjoy the taste of chocolate and this one I felt had a bit more flavour to it. The flavour was quite a rich dark chocolate taste which I love and the consistency for a protein flapjack was good. But having gorged through around 30 bars, I could easily have changed my mind because I really liked the Honey Berry too. The Honey Berry flavour felt slightly softer to chew and the delicious honey taste really came through with every bite.

It is very difficult to pick a winner; you only have to look at reviews on the likes of MuscleTalk to see both are liked. I would say I probably slightly preferred Chocolate Pecan but go for both and see for yourself!

Unlike some protein bars and protein flapjacks which require you to dip your bar into a hot drink to eat it, I had no problems with these protein flapjacks. Both were easy to eat and very tasty. In fact, on quite a few occasions I ended up eating two bars one after the other because the taste was just too good to resist. One of the problems of getting more than one box is when you know you have a big supply so get through 3 or 4 a day if you have a lack of self control!

Why BBW protein flapjacks are good for you and some nutritional/ingredients information

Any negatives?

It's very difficult to pinpoint anything bad about these protein flapjacks. If I'm being very picky then perhaps they could be a little moister but this would involve using more sugar which I'd rather not have. Some protein flapjacks are 80g-90g in size so that could also be something that goes against these but then again if they upped the size, the carbohydrates, sugars, fats and price would also go up. 75g is a perfectly good size to eat a flapjack and feel full.
